I’m a Registered Civil Engineer (PE), a Certified Cost Engineer (CCE), and a Decision and Risk Management Professional (DRMP).  This book represents observations made over a period of some thirty years in the power, oil and gas, and chemical industries.  While some elements of this story are specific to those industries, the lessons are universal to the EPC world.

This story is based on my experiences with a newly minted German project manager. The names, companies, and circumstances are fictitious, though not imaginary. I chose the narrative style because it is easier to remember stories than facts. Check the Resources tab for additional information. If there is something you’d like to know more about, and are having difficulty finding sources, drop me a line, or pose your question in the comments box.

Thanks for stopping by.
